LMNL Reading Series Featuring Julie Elise Landry, Marlana Botnick Fireman, Todd Cirillo, and François Bereaud

We’re back next week with another reading at the wonderful Twelve Mile Limit featuring three local writers and one author from afar!

Julie Elise Landry is a New Orleans poet. Her work has appeared in A-minor Magazine, Midway Journal, Trampoline, Vassar Review, and more. She earned an MFA in poetry from the University of New Orleans and an MA in English from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. In 2025, she was named a finalist in the LMNL Arts Patty Friedmann Writing Competition.

Marlana Botnick Fireman (she/they) is a writer in New Orleans. She completed her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of New Orleans, where she was an editor for Bayou Magazine and was awarded the Joanna Leake Prize for Fiction Thesis. Marlana’s work can be found in the Southeast Review, Reckon Review, The Hooghly Review, and elsewhere. Marlana was the runner-up for fiction in the Patty Friedmann Writing Contest in 2025. Marlana was born and raised in central Ohio. When not reading or writing, Marlana can be found crafting or playing with their goofy dog, Dill.

Todd Cirillo was born of bastard lineage. He has many books and misdemeanors. Books include: Sucker’s Paradise, Burning the Evidence, ROXY, Kisses from a Straight Razor, Disposable Darlings, Three Poets Walk Into a Bar, & his newest, Happy Hour Heart of New Orleans from Roadside Press. His poems have appeared in numerous national and international literary journals, magazines and on cocktail napkins everywhere. He is editor and co-founder of Six Ft. Swells Press. François Bereaud is a husband, dad, full time math professor, mentor in the San Diego Congolese refugee community, and mediocre hockey player. He is the author of San Diego Stories published by Cowboy Jamboree Press and the novel, A Question of Family published by Stanchion Press. He has been widely published online and in print. His work has earned Pushcart, Best of the Net, and Best Small Fictions nominations. He serves as the fiction editor at The Twin Bill and reads for Porcupine Literary.
